Ground blinds from 20 foot ladder stands provide comfortable, 360∞ views of the terrain. Detailed maps allow you to choose the best locations, as well as acclimating first–timers to the hunt. Our hunts are semi–guided; our guides carry radios for safety.
Potts Creek Outfitters provides year–round quality fly fishing with experts to make your experience memorable. Experienced guides will instruct you on the finer points of casting and fly-fishing to provide a fun and fruitful voyage for beginners and experts alike. You’ll find plenty of Eastern Gobblers in our turkey-friendly environment, combining both hardwood forest and planted openings. Turkey hunts are semi–guided, limited to two hunters per guide, up to 10 hunters at a time.
In West Virginia we offer a “deluxe” heated guide shack. Maximize your hunt time with our delicious box lunches, saving you time from heading back to town for lunch. The guide shack also serves as a meeting place to bag your trophy early, relax, take a quick nap, or enjoy a game of cards with other hunters! For your convenience, our state of the art skinning sheds (located in Virginia & West Virginia) can process and package your kill for easy transport home.
We offer any combination of guided or unguided day trips and overnight stays at The Depot Lodge. For your convenience, fly fishing equipment is available for sale or rent at the Paint Bank General Store. Spring is the most opportune time to wet your fly at Potts Creek! We also offer float trips on the Greenbrier, New and James Rivers for small mouth bass and musky, April through November (May being the best month). We will provide a delicious box lunch served shore side for all your fishing experiences from The Swinging Bridge Restaurant.
